Eva Longoria and Tony Parker - Paris, France

Eva Longoria and Tony Parker exchanged vows on July 7, 2007 at The Church of Saint Germain l’Auxerrois in front of 250 guests in a traditional Roman Catholic ceremony, which honoured the bride’s Mexican heritage.

Eva wore a $75,000 silk georgette and organza gown by Angel Sanchez, with ribbons of gazar metallic embroidery and a five-foot train and Tony wore a suit by French designer De Fursac.  Eva’s bouquet consisted of white phalaenopsis orchid stems and crystal blush calla lilies. The bride had nine bridesmaids, each dressed in beautiful red Badgley Mischka gowns to coincide with their lavish red-themed affair.

After the ceremony, guests were transported from the church to the reception at a 17th-century castle Vaux le Vicomte, which was decorated in tens of thousands of red roses and candles.

Guests dined on lobster medallion skewers in a gazpacho, sea bass filet with creamy truffle risotto and filet mignon with baby vegetables, which they called “Crazy Red Passion” menu.

The newlyweds shared their first dance to Peter Gabriel’s “Book of Love” before a 70’s band took the stage and performed songs by Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and James Brown.  At midnight, fireworks lit up the sky followed by the cutting of the cake.  The couple sliced into a five-tier vanilla bean pound cake filled with raspberry preserves and white butter cream imported from California’s Perfect Endings.

The party then moved to an outdoor tent where a D.J. and orchestra kept guests dancing all night.  At 3:00am, grilled cheese sandwiches, mini hotdogs, burgers and fries were served.

The next morning, Eva and Tony left for their honeymoon in the Turks and Caicos at the stunning Parrot Cay Resort.

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise - Bracciano, Italy

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise were married inside a converted 15th-century armory within Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano, Italy.  As the 150 guests in attendance arrived, flag bearers dressed in colorful Renaissance garb greeted them.  The event cost approximately $3.5 million dollars and does not include the $50000 rental fee for the reception that was held at Odescalchi Castle, as it was waived as a wedding gift to the couple.

The bride wore a Giorgio Armani off-the-should gown adorned with Valenciennes lace and Swarovski crystals.  The groom wore a navy two-button Armani tux.

Mr. Cruise began the ceremony as he walked down a stone ramp to the roll of drums.  The ramp was lined with the same flag bearers in medieval costumes.  Katie Homles, who walked down the ramp on her father’s arm clutching a bouquet of calla lilies, followed Tom Cruise.

Post nuptials, the reception was held in the castle’s Hall of the Caesars, decorated with thousands of white and red roses.  The bride changed into a peach silk organza dress by Armani before joining her groom on the dance floor where Songbird by Fleetwood Mac played for their first dance together.

Dinner was catered by Tom Cruise’s favourite restaurant in Rome, Dal Bolognese and the menu included risotto, sea bass with artichokes, and parmesan—crusted fillet.  Andrea Bocelli serenaded the couple with Italian love songs “Occhi di fata” (“Fairy Eyes”) and “La Serenata” (“The Serenade”), as guests toasted with Barbesco wine and champagne.  For dessert, the couple fed each other a five-tier, white chocolate mousse cake decorated with marzipan roses.

Once dinner ended, guests were ushered outside into a courtyard to watch a firework display accompanied by classical music.

Following the fireworks, the party then moved to a castle hall decorated to look like a nightclub where DJ Mark Bronson kept the party going all night!
